Mission Ministry
Do not merely listen to the word…Do what it says.
Although we only meet four times a year, we are a very active group that seeks to serve the needs of people locally, nationally, and internationally. Some of our ongoing projects include supplying the local Blessing Box, serving a monthly free community lunch, offering low-cost used clothing at Iney’s Pre-Loved Boutique, providing local flood relief of money, household goods and food, making duffle bags and plastic bag mats for people in transition and the homeless, helping with emergency needs as they arise and donating money to several local charitable organizations such as the Soup Kitchen. In addition to offering coffee and treats between services every Sunday, we lift up a mission project of the month and collect and deliver items to local organizations. In 2025, we were able to help the following:
- Street Moms
- The House of the Carpenter
- The House of Hagar
- Local Animal Shelter
- Bridge Street Middle School
- Elm Grove Elementary
- Local Veterans
We also send people on short-term mission trips through West Virginia Volunteers in Mission whenever possible.
Our AMEN Players provide an annual dinner theater event each January as our major fundraiser
We need and welcome your hands and talents. Please join us for a cup of coffee at 9:30am every Sunday morning to learn more. All are welcome on the committee.
